Mary struggled with substance abuse over the following decade, but now that she has been able to maintain a life of sobriety, she has found herself forgiven by her husband and teenage children. Mary has decided to pass that forgiveness on to her nephew.
After ten years in a mental health facility, Jonathan is coming home to join the only family he has left. Mary hopes he can live a normal life, but on the eve of his seventeenth birthday, things begin to get wicked as Jonathan's imaginary friend decides to come out and play.
